I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching camp at Walltown Children’s Theatre again this summer, focused on songwriting and vocal performance for ages 8-16. Here are the details:
June 25th – 29th
Rissi Palmer Songwriting and Vocal Camp (suggested ages 8-14 yrs.)
Join me and develop your unique voice. Campers will use journaling to create a personalized songwriting and singing project over the week. Wow is all I can say after yesterday’s show! To say that I was blown away by the caliber of talent would be an understatement. This was our first of what I hope will be many open mics at IMURJ in Raleigh. Here are the highlights:
A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing performers and their families for coming out and sharing, to IMURJ for welcoming us, and to everyone who came out to support. I’ll see you again on Saturday, June 16 4-5pm at The Blue Note Grill in Durham. You can sign up for your spot HERE.
The open mic on January 27 was full of girl power!!! We had 6 dynamic and enthusiastic performers, mostly new faces. Here are some of the highlights:
Please join us for the next Relative Pitch Youth Open Mic on Saturday, January 27 at 4-5pm at The Blue Note Cafe. The Blue Note Cafe is located at 709 Washington Street Durham, NC 27701. There are still some performance spots left, you can sign up HERE to participate!
Join us on Saturday, March 10 from 4-5pm at Imurj in Downtown Raleigh!!! We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to hosting open mics there every other month, in addition to Durham. Performance spots are open now, sign up HERE. More dates to come…
Kenzie Morgan has been a Relative Pitch participant since she was 12 years old and she and her mom are like family at this point. She has also been featured in our “The Relative Pitch presents…” series (see her performance HERE). It’s been a pleasure watching her bloom from talented kid to a young artist. So proud of her, check out her performance for WRAL GoAskMom.com HERE.
Hey Friends! Four of the performers from The Relative Pitch Youth Open Mic and Walltown Children’s Theatre (McKenzie Morgan, Alex Watson, Brianna Williams, and Jalen Diggs, with yours truly on the guitar) will be performing Christmas songs at Imurj Studios in Raleigh this Sunday, December 17 from 3-5pm. The performance will include other talented kids from around the Triangle and will be filmed for WRAL TV and WRAL Go Ask Mom!!! It’s a free taping and everyone is welcome!!! Come listen to some holiday music, shop the small local store at Imurj and get some coffee or hot chocolate from them!!!
It was a light turn out for the open mic, due in part to Halloween festivities, but we made the most of it!!! Two Relative Pitch veterans, Natalie and Alex, dazzled the crowd with their private concert. I appreciated their professionalism, they just rolled with it!!! Below are just a couple clips from their performances…
We are in the process of planning 2018’s shows, so please check the website for future dates!!!
