Highlights from our February 8 show!!! (Pictures & Video)
February 8 was our first show of 2014 and the performers didn’t disappoint!!! This show featured two singer songwriters showcasing original music in addition to a solo and duet performances of covers with a twist. Thank you to all the parents for supporting these fabulous young musicians and to Sola Coffee Cafe for once again making everyone comfortable and full!!!

Well friends, it was a great show!!! It was a cold and rainy Sunday but so many extremely talented kids and their families came out and our stage was bright and sunny! We were really excited to see and hear all of the young singer/songwriter/musicians playing original pieces. Just a reminder that April 28 is the last The Relative Pitch before our summer hiatus. If you’d like to participate, please visit the Performer Sign Up page and reserve your spot because this last show is going to fill up quickly!

The songwriting team of Una and Leidy dazzled the crowd with their performance of an original song, “Mr Sunshine”…

Co-founder Kim Arrington and singer McKenzie sharing a moment on stage before McKenzie’s performance.

Daison, who has only been playing the Ukulele for only FOUR MONTHS and marked his first time onstage with us, entertained the audience with his version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”…

Hey all,
It’s hard to believe that we have already had five The Relative Pitch Shows!!! Thank you to all the performers and their families for coming out and making this possible and to The Broad Street Cafe and all of their amazing staff for accommodating us. The February 24 show saw several new performers as well as a few familiar faces. Remember, you too can perform in a Relative Pitch show! There are only two left before our summer hiatus: March 24 and April 28. Visit our Performer Sign Up page to sign up!

Relative Pitch newbie McKenzie sang two selections, Paramore’s “The Only Exception” and Sara Barailles’ “King of Anything”.
Shot from our January 27th Show!!!
Here are some of the highlights from our January 27th show. Sydney, one of our young performers, stood in for Kim (who is in the studio recording her new album, Getting II Yes) as co-host with Rissi. This was the first show that had a “dancers”, you’ll see what we mean below in the pictures. We had singers ranging from 3 to 18, instrumentalists, singer-songwriters, and rappers. Rissi also debuted a song from her recently released children’s album, Best Day Ever. Check out the fun below!

The Relative Pitch Dancers 🙂 This group of adorable little ones created a little mosh pit on the side of the stage for the entire show!

Josh got the crowd involved during his performance of Fun’s “Some Nights” and proved to be one of the night’s favorites.

Brooke wowed the crowd with not one but 3 selections during the show, including a soulful rendition of “Imagine” by John Lennon.

Our co-host Sydney gave the audience some ear candy with her version of Demi Lavato’s “Give Your Heart a Break”.

Before Brooke’s second selection, Rissi asked her how much she practiced. She enthusiastically replied “At least two hours a day”. That’s what it takes to look effortless; LOTS of preparation!!
